Speak Up

Your views are important!

I'd be interested in hearing from you about your magazine's printing budget. At your publication, how much influence does editorial have on your printing budget? These days many editors are being asked to trim staff and other expenses. Yet, in some cases printing budgets are allowed to grow. Too often, the editorial cuts lead to compromises in serving the needs and interests of readers. That's why I'd like to see if editors are having sufficient input into expenses on the printing side. Do you participate in the decision making on the printing budget? What about on decisions regarding where your publication is printed? And, with so many publications creating a digital edition, is editorial a key decision-maker on that issue? I'd be grateful for your responses. Thanks.
